Indira C. Alvarez has made significant contributions to municipal and educational spaces through her diverse roles and unwavering commitment to public service. Armed with a Master's degree in Urban Affairs from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree in Management of Human Services from UMass/Boston, she has been a driving force behind numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure and community well-being.

Through her roles as Chief of Staff for Inspectional Services and the Commissioner for the Property Management Department for the City of Boston as well as Chief of Operations for Boston Public Schools, Indira played a pivotal role in ensuring the maintenance and safety of municipal buildings. Her leadership was instrumental in coordinating improvement projects, managing operating budgets, and implementing measures to reduce costs while preserving the useful life of city facilities. Additionally, she oversaw the management of the coordinated street furniture program and provided technical assistance for special events, showcasing her dedication to enhancing public spaces and promoting community engagement. Throughout her career, Indira has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, spearheading initiatives to enhance community well-being. Fluent in Spanish, she also serves as an interpreter and translator, bridging communication gaps and fostering inclusivity within diverse communities. Indira's dedication to excellence, coupled with her strong work ethic and commitment to service, continues to make a lasting impact in communities she works with.
